Ingredients
4poundwhole chicken
½cupbutter(softened)
1teaspoonMrs. Dash garlic and herb seasoning
1teaspoondried thyme
1teaspoondried rosemary
1teaspoondried parsley
¼teaspoonkosher salt
2tablespoonsolive oil
½teaspoonkosher salt
1teaspoonpaprika
½teaspoonblack pepper
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, Mrs. Dash, thyme, rosemary,parsley and ¼ teaspoon kosher salt.
Spread the butter mixture under the breast skin and in the cavity of the chicken.
Brush the olive oil over the skin of the chicken and sprinkle with the paprika, salt and black pepper.
Place the chicke, skin side down in the basket of the air fryer. Cook for 30 minutes, then turn chicken over and cook for an additional 25 minutes, until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chicken reads 160°.
Remove chicken from the air fryer and allow to rest for 15 minutes before carving.
Notes
Can substitiue sea salt for kosher salt.Let rest for about 15 minutes after cooking to allow the juices to settle in the chicken.
